Week 19

Scott and I went back to the doctor's office yesterday for our "big" ultrasound. We are lucky that Dr. Herrmann does an ultrasound at every visit, but this would have been the one when we could've learned the gender of the baby. Scott and I stuck to our guns and told the nurse that we didn't want to know. The good part about this is that she is the only one that knows. She doesn't write it down in our files and our doctor wasn't in the room. This way there isn't anyone that we see on a regular basis that could accidentially spill the beans! During my last appointment, I was down 2 lbs and this appointment I am up 3 lbs. So in total I am +1 lb for the pregnancy.

Baby was being stubborn yesterday and we couldn't get any front pics or 3-D pictures. In 4 weeks, we have to meet with the ultrasound nurse again so she can finish her paperwork. Hopefully, Baby will cooperate next time. We were able to nail down our due date to May 17th. Base on the circumference of Baby's head, he/she is 18 weeks and 2 days. Baby's heart rate was clocked at 150 bpm so a girl again this month. I really wonder if the old wives tale will come true. We saw Baby sucking his/her thumb for the second month in a row. Scott and I will have to nip that in the bud, if he/she sucks thumb when he/she gets older. Here you can see the little thumb-sucker.

Scott and I finished Fall Semester last week. I only had one class complete before our wedding. I took a semester off to finish planning the wedding and then forgot to register for the following semester. Now I have been in the MBA program for 1.5 years and only completed two classes. I plan on taking 2 more classes next semester, but after that Grad School is going to be put on hold until Baby gets a little bigger.

Our weekends have been busy around the house. We cleaned out our spare bedroom, donated ALOT of old clothes and shoes, and threw away ALOT of crap we have collected over the last 5 years. We painted the room and moved our stuff into the spare bedroom, or should I say our NEW room? This room is in the front of our house, right off the porch. We didn't feel comfortable moving Baby into room so we switched. Now, we are in the spare room and Baby will be in our old room. He/She is already spoiled with the bigger room.

We have only a few more days of work left before our Holiday break. Monsanto is nice enough to give us the week between Christmas and New Years so we will be spending time with our families and then start working on the baby's room. Checklist just seems to keep getting longer...
