Jacob went on his first plane ride to Detroit. We woke up early to get all of our stuff ready and Scott took us to the airport before he went to work. I was really nervous to take Jake through the whole process of checking in, security, walking through the airport, and the actual plane ride. It was just me and Jake (no Scott) so I was missing an extra set of hands. I am so used to traveling by myself and pretty much got the process down to an exact science. In the past, going through security was a breeze for me and I used to get annoyed with the family that had sooo many bags and didn't really know what the procedure was. I didn't want to be THAT person. Luckily, I learned that I could use the Baby Bjorn through security so that made it all easier.
We arrived at the airport just in time for Jake's 8AM feeding. After he had a full belly and a diaper change, my little man was sacked out! He fell asleep in the carrier before we even boarded the plane and slept through the entire flight. When we finally landed and were ready to deplane, I stood up with Jake and the guy behind was astonished. He said that he didn't even realize that a baby was sitting in front of him!
My little guy will be an expert traveler before you know it!
