Mya's Baptism

Before Scott and I drove up to Iowa for Mya's baptism, we stopped at his co-worker, Sebastian's home. Sebastian's boy, Matias had just turned 1 year old and they were having a birthday party. When we arrived, there were kids running around... I looked at Scott and mentioned that we are crossing into a different phase in our lives when kids' birthday parties are Saturday night activity.

Later than evening, we drove up to Cedar Rapids. The next day was Mya Schadler's baptism. Mya is Brian (aka Bird) and Lisa's first baby and they had asked Scott to be her baptismal sponsor. He, along with Lisa's sister, Shana, were godparents for lil baby Mya. She felt asleep during the service and woke up just in time for the baptismal ceremony. After the service, we went back to their new home in Center Point.
