Actual Age: 2 Months
Adjusted Age: 1 Week

Weight: 6 lbs,12 oz
Length: 19.5 inches

My how quickly 2 months have gone.  Our little one is now considered "term." Joey's due was only a week ago and his adjusted age is now 1 week.  His early delivery seems like sooooo long ago!!  He is still on a heart monitor.  I thought we would be able to get rid of it once Joey hit his due date, but he had a couple heart rate drops and apnea episodes that our pediatrician wasn't comfortable taking it off.  She wants us to go two more weeks with it to see if he will have any other drops... Boo!

Joey has been keeping to an Every-3-Hours feeding schedule which also means that he is up every 3 hours at night.  It really isn't that bad UNTIL last week when he is waking up every 2 hours.  He still eats every 3 hours and sleeps great during the day, but at night he is up every two hours to nurse and his sleeps aren't that restful.  How do I know they aren't restful?  Well, we set up a twin bed in Joey's room for me to sleep in.  This is so that I don't have to walk across the house every two hours.  Joey may be going through a growth spurt which may be why he wants to eat all the time.  Or it could be that he is truly still hunger because the kid spits up ALL THE TIME.  The fragrance of baby spit up is permanently on my clothes... yum!

Joey was also really congested last week.  During his 2-month well baby visit, his doc thought that maybe the episodes were due to Joey fighting off the infection, trouble breathing, etc.  She wanted to give him the extra time to get over the infection before we took him off the monitor.  Just to be sure, they tested Joey for RSV, which thankfully came back negative!

We celebrated Jake's 2nd birthday party over the Memorial Day weekend.  Joey met his Grandma Carol, Uncle Joe, Aunt Jodi, and cousins Bailey and Tanner.  My parents also came into town for the party.  Then, my cousin, Michelle, came into town during the week to spend some time with us.

All-in-all, it was a great month.  We have adjusted to being a family of four at home.  Joey is doing what all babies who should technically be a week old should do: eat, sleep, poop, and cry every once in a while!!!

Love you, Joe Blow!!!
