First Anniversary

It has been one full year since Scott and I tied the knot. It is so hard to believe that it has gone by so fast. I have enjoyed everyday we share together and he makes me so happy, especially since he cleans and does laundry more than me!!!

For our anniversary, Scott took me to Orlando. We left Friday evening after work and arrived in Orlando just in time to get to the hotel for a good night sleep. After a few hours of sleeping in, we woke up Saturday morning and went down for breakfast. Our whole day was spent at Disney's Magic Kingdom. Since Scott is not fond of roller coasters, we had to keep the excitement low key. We watched the Main Street Parade to see all the main characters. Also, we did make sure to ride on It's a Small World and the Tea Cups. But the "fun" of the Tea Cups left me feeling not so good... Good thinking on our part to leave that ride to the end of the day. We headed back to the hotel where we caught up on the news and rested before dinner. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we headed to a nice steakhouse. It was yummy!!!

For day 2, we went to Sea World. Scott always loved going to the zoo to watch the animals so this was right up his alley. We started the day with the amusing sea lion and otter show. Shortly after that, we watched the Shamu show. It was amazing what these trainers are able to teach these large mammals. It was great entertainment and was probably the highlight of our weekend. Through the rest of the day, we went and watched the manatees, sting rays, dolphins, penguins, and sharks. We closed down the park and were pooped after two full days of walking.

So Monday, we spent the entire day relaxing by the pool. It was great as I checked emails on my blackberry, knowing that the weather back in St. Louis was 45 degrees. Our flight wasn’t scheduled to leave Orlando until 7:30pm so we literally spent the entire day by the pool. It was very relaxing.
