Bridal Tasting

This evening, Scott and I met up our friends, Tim & Laura and Nico & Ines at Marriott St. Louis West for dinner. This just wasn't any old dinner date. This was a 4-course meal to try different foods for our wedding reception. The Marriott put together a nice event with almost 15 other couples. Each engaged couples was invited and had an option to bring 4 other people. Since both Scott's and my parents lived out of the area, we invited some friends. The evening started with cocktail hour with several difference hors’ dourves. We had to make sure that we tried them all!! Next, we moved into the hall where it was set up to showcase different meals, chair covers, table drapes, centerpieces, and floral arrangements. It was very impressive! We moved on to appetizers, intermezzo, salad, main course, and desserts. Argh… it was overwhelming! So much food, but it was a good thing that we brought 4 extra stomachs. However, we somehow all seemed to gorge ourselves. It was a lot of fun to share the evening with friends… and they are the only ones who know what our menu will be for our wedding dinner.
