So this weekend started off terrible. On Thursday night, I got a mosquito bite on my eye. Mosquito bites on me are not normal than other people. After a bite, the area is very swollen, red, and warm. I am not sure if it is an allergic reaction or not, but typically I can live with it. But when the bite is on my eye… the reaction was so bad that my eye was almost swollen shut. So I Friday, I worked from home to spare my co-workers from seeing me and to spare me from all the questions. On Saturday, Scott and I ran some errands during the day. Around 9:30PM, we met some of Scott’s friends out at Square One Brewery in Lafayette Square. It was a fun little microbrewery with a great atmosphere. Today, Scott and I met his co-worker, Melissa and her husband, Neil at the Par-3 golf course near our house. We started getting warmed up after the 6 hole. As we were finishing up the 9th hole and grabbing our bags to go, “Clunk”… I got hit right in the head by another golfer in the green next to us. After the initial shock of being cracked in the head with a golf ball, we put an ice pack on my noggin and headed home. Took a couple Advil and was feeling much better. We headed out to the movies to catch Transformers. It was Scott’s turn to pick the movie and I do have to say it was pretty good.
Now I am procrastinating again… I really need to study!
