Spring has sprung!!

This past weekend, the weather was magnificent! Both days were in the 80's. I didn't have much planned, but I got a lot accomplished. With Scott gone, the house was a little neglected. So on Friday evening, I cleaned the entire house.

On Saturday, I was up at 7:30... don't ask me why. I couldn't lay in bed so I got up and ran errands: went to the dry cleaners, stopped in the office, went to Kinko's, went grocery shopping. Since it was such a beatiful morning, Bomber and I went for a walk. There is a small park only a few blocks from our house so we headed out there. I've been watching "The Dog Whisperer" on the National Geographic channel so I tried the techniques. When other dogs are around, Bomber has a tendency to whine and lung toward them. Not as severe as on the show, but Cezar Millan's advice does work. It was a niced, relaxing walk. The rest of the day was dedicated to wedding stuff. During the evening, I spent quality time with my DVD player. I rented a couple movies and ordered pizza. I rented "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet. It was surprisingly a good movie. I am not sure if it was good because the story line was good or if it was good because of Jude Law. Yes, I can admit it... I am a dork!!

On Sunday, after church, I met up with my friend Laura and her daughter Audrey for lunch. Since it was another warm day, we had lunch outside. Audrey is now 5 months old and so precious. She was great throughout the meal up until we were waiting for the bill. Laura said that it was time for Audrey's nap and as we got up to leave she stopped fussing. By the time we walked out of the restaraunt and out to the parking lot, Audrey was asleep. Like I said, PRECIOUS! Later that afternoon, Bomber and I headed back to the park. All in all, it was a very relaxing weekend.

For the next couple days, I will be back in Muscatine for work. It is always nice to see all my old Iowa friends.

Here's to another week down without Scott! 2 down, 2 more weeks to go!
