Weekend in Chicago

Just to get away for the weekend, we drove up to Chicago to do touristy stuff. We stayed at my aunt’s house where she loved on Jake the whole time. We crammed in Shedd Aquarium, Field Musuem, and Plantiarium in one day. Coincidentally, we went up the weekend before my cousin, Phil’s birthday so my aunt and uncle took us all out for a great steak dinner… we didn’t expect to be treated to such fantastic hospitality! We just needed a comfortable, homey place to stay.

Maybe next year we will have to “unexpectedly” plan a trip during Phil’s birthday again. ;)
